SPECIAL INCIDENTS COORDINATOR

Full-time position located in our San Diego/Kearny Mesa office

DUTIES:

Under direction of the Program Manager, analyze Special Incident Reports (SIRs). Evaluate and edit Incident Descriptions, transmit initial SIRs to Department of Developmental Services (DDS), and complete monthly Risk Management Notes and Minutes. Request and process death certificates and autopsy reports. Obtain information to complete SIRs and follow-up with DDS. With Program Manager, develop and conduct ongoing SIRs training for staff and service providers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school graduate or equivalent. Associate’s Degree in Social Services, Business Services, or related field preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

Two (2) years administrative/secretarial experience. One (1) year Microsoft Office skills experience or Microsoft Office proficiency certificate.

Strong critical thinking; advanced problem-solving skills with minimal supervision. Excellent writing and grammar skills. Effectively analyze and organize data. Ability to manage high workflow to meet required deadlines; work well with diverse groups across various disciplines. Knowledge of mandated reporting requirements (AB40).

REVENUE COORDINATOR

Full-time position located in our San Diego/Kearny Mesa Office

DUTIES:

Under direction of the Trust Supervisor, process requests from service coordinators, communicate with funding sources and clients to help clients and the Corporation receive funds to which they are entitled. Maintain client record, receipts and disbursements of funds through the Corporation’s computer systems (SANDIS & UFS). Perform other related work as needed or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school graduate or equivalent. Business school or college level courses in accounting and experience with a computerized accounting system are required.

EXPERIENCE:

Detailed working knowledge of MediCal, SSA, SSI, and VA regulations and practices. Knowledge of the appropriate procedures and forms used to file applications for these human services programs; accounting principles, general office procedures, computer processing and personal banking reports required. Excellent telephone and typing/data entry skills required. Three (3) years of work experience in one or more of the following: billing, accounting, banking, with government benefit eligibility determination and claims payment. College courses in business may be substituted for one (1) year of work experience.

CLIENT BENEFITS COORDINATOR

Full-time position located in our San Diego/Kearny Mesa Office

DUTIES:

Under the direct supervision of the Trust Supervisor, is responsible for completion of Supplemental Security Income (SSI) redetermination when SDRC is payee representative and performs related tasks as required. The Client Benefits Coordinator will also complete initial Medi-Cal and other benefits applications and redetermination of such benefits on the behalf of the client.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A high school diploma or equivalent and at least two (2) years applicable experience in the field of or related to social services; or an AA/AS degree from an accredited two (2) year college and one (1) year of experience; or a BA/BS degree from an accredited four (4) year college in a field related to the delivery of social services.

EXPERIENCE:

Knowledge of Social Security Administration and/or Department of Social Services/Medi-Cal and other public benefits. Two (2) years experience in fiscal record keeping required with a minimum of one (1) year experience with Social Security and Medi-Cal procedures required. Ability to work with persons with all degrees of developmental disabilities as well as a cross-section of the community, including diverse ethnic groups. Ability to meet stringent deadlines/time frames.

FISCAL ASSISTANT V

DUTIES:

Under the supervision of the Fiscal Supervisor, the Fiscal Assistant V will download, review, and evaluate Purchase of Service (POS) requests, input requested changes to existing authorizations, and generate invoices to vendors.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School graduate or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE:

At least three (3) years of practical related experience in fiscal record keeping. Experience in computerized statistical reporting or electronic billing and payment is desired. Associate degree in Accounting and hands on experience with computerized accounting systems or electronic billing and payment systems may be substituted for one (1) year of experience.

Knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting practices, procedures and terminology; general office procedures; Excel and data base systems; thorough understanding of the upload and download of electronic data files using the internet; knowledge of statistical reporting and ability to analyze statistical and fiscal data; accuracy with mathematical calculations; define and problem solve. NURSE CLINICIAN COMMUNITY PLACEMENT PLAN (CPP)

Full-time position located in our San Diego/Kearny Mesa Office. This is an office-based Monday – Friday daytime position with choice of flexible schedules.

DUTIES:

Under direction of the Nurse Supervisor, will perform nursing assessments, identify health care and developmental program needs of developmentally disabled individuals, function as a resource person to other Regional Center staff in the development of health related goals for the Individual Client Program Plan, and coordinate with community agencies to assist in implementation of the plan. The CPP Nurse will provide technical assistance and follow-up after placements from Developmental Centers or for deflection cases, and collaborate to ensure the health and safety of CPP clients.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduation from a school of nursing approved by the National League for Nursing; a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is desirable. A valid license as a Registered Nurse in the State of California is required.

EXPERIENCE:

Two (2) years of nursing experience in a health care setting. Experience in working with individuals with a developmental disability is desirable. Experience working in a consultative role is desirable.

Ability to solve problems with minimal supervision; function within an Interdisciplinary or Planning Team setting; prepare clear and concise reports. Knowledge of normal and abnormal growth and development; effect of cultural and social patterns on health; organization and functions of social, health and other support service agencies; current nursing practice methods and procedures; and state and federal legislation related to service for the developmentally disabled.
