RFP for CPP Project 2021-2:

Project 2021-2: San Diego Regional Center (SDRC) is seeking a proposal for a Housing Development Organization (HDO) entity to purchase an existing single family home in San Diego County, and retrofit the home with any adaptations needed for the individuals who are targeted to live in the home.  SDRC seeks to develop a home that will be used as a Enhanced Behavioral Support Home (EBSH) and house 4 regional center clients.  The home that is purchased and renovated by the HDO will be leased to a service provider who will provide the needed supports to the individuals who live in the home.  The service provider will be selected through a separate Request for Proposal process.

Start-up funding: $500,000 for the acquisition of the home, $500,000 to renovate the home to meet the needs of the individuals who will live there.

RFP Statewide Technical Assistance and Training Agent 2020-2021:

Project FY 20/21-1: San Diego Regional Center (SDRC) and the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) have identified the need to create a Statewide Technical Assistance and Training Agent (Agent) to coordinate a variety of supports to service providers to implement the Alternative Nonresidential Services model (Alternative Services). SDRC may elect to fund all, part or none of the project, depending on funding availability as approved by the DDS, and the quality of proposals received. SDRC reserves the right to withdraw this RFP and/or disqualify any proposal that does not adhere to the RFP guidelines. Proposals submitted after the indicated timelines will not be considered.

RFP Community Placement Plan 2019-2020:

San Diego Regional Center (SDRC) is seeking a proposal for specialized projects focused on individuals with intellectual disabilities and challenging service needs.

Project 1920-11: San Diego Regional Center (SDRC) seeks a service provider to develop a Community Crisis Group Home to support four children in need of crisis intervention services. The program will address complex challenges such as severe behavior challenges and/or psychiatric issues. Start-up funding: $500,000.

Project 1920-6:  San Diego Regional Center (SDRC) seeks a service provider to develop a Community Crisis Group Home to support four foster dual agency children in need of crisis intervention services. The program will address complex challenges such as severe behavior challenges and/or psychiatric issues. Start-up funding: $250,000.

Project 1920-10:  San Diego Regional Center (SDRC) seeks to develop an Enhanced Behavioral Support Home to serve four foster dual agency children who may be living in a community crisis home or other setting. This facility will provide enhanced supports as per Welfare and Institutions Code (4684.80). The home will be owned by a non-profit housing development corporation (NPO). The individuals have severe behavioral challenges and/or psychiatric disorders. The funds available are up to $250,000.

San Diego Regional Center (SDRC) is seeking a proposal for a provider to implement a nationally recognized model for Crisis Stabilization from the Center for START Services (https://www.centerforstartservices.org/).

Project 1819-4: SDRC seeks to develop Crisis Support Services for the transition age youth population (ages 14-25 years old) with a provider who would be trained in the START model of services. START is a nationally known model that includes nationally recognized expertise and provides an evidence based model of services to address the needs of those individuals with co-occurring behavioral health needs. Start-up funding: $285,000.

The home that is purchased and renovated by the NPO will be leased to a service provider who will provide the needed supports to the individuals who live in the home.  The service provider will be selected through a separate Request for Proposal process.

RFP Community Placement Plan 2018-2019:

San Diego Regional Center is seeking a proposal for a specialized project focused on individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities and co-occurring psychiatric conditions, who will be exiting State Developmental Centers or for those individuals who have histories of being under served in the community.

Project 1819-3:  San Diego Regional Center (SDRC) seeks to develop Crisis Support Services for the transition age youth population (ages 14-25 years old).  SDRC is seeking a nationally known  model that includes nationally recognized expertise, to provide an evidence based  model of services to address the needs of those struggling to maintain community tenure.  The program is intended to address complex challenges such as significant behavioral profiles, psychiatric needs and/or health care needs. Start-up funding: $281,000.

Proposals are due NO LATER THAN 4:00 P.M. ON WEDNESDAY May 15, 2019.

RFP CPP FY 2015-2016 (Repost):

San Diego Regional Center is seeking proposals for specialized projects focused on individuals with intellectual disabilities who will be exiting State Developmental Centers or are at risk of going to one. SDRC is seeking to develop a wide network of high quality providers.

Project #5:
This specialized residential facility will be owned by a nonprofit housing development corporation (NPO). The service provider will support four individuals with moderate to severe cognitive impairments who have severe behavior challenges and some health needs. The individuals are presently living in a developmental center or at risk of entering one. The funds available are up to $150,000, which will be deferred to FY 18/19.

Project #6:
This specialized residential facility will be owned by a non-profit housing development corporation (NPO). The service provider will support four adolescents with autism and severe-mild cognitive impairments who cannot be supported in typical level 4 facilities due to their challenging behaviors. The funds available are up to $150,000, which will be deferred to FY18/19.
