Thank you for considering becoming a volunteer at the San Diego Regional Center (SDRC).  SDRC welcomes people from the community who are interested in volunteering their time and talents to enhance the services we provide and help improve the lives of people and families affected by developmental disabilities. Long-term and short-term volunteers, such as students and others required to do community service hours, are welcome.

The benefits of volunteering at SDRC include the personal reward gained from being of service, learning new skills, job experience for a resume, making a difference in the community and in the lives of others, and more. Volunteers, who generously give their hours of service with no monetary compensation, are very much appreciated.

To volunteer, you must be at least 16 years old, complete a volunteer application form, sign a confidentiality agreement, submit to a background check (if requested) and be available to volunteer during daytime, weekday hours.

Please note that all of our volunteer positions are office/clerical and these opportunities have no contact with the clients we serve.

For more information, please contact the SDRC Volunteer Coordinator at (858) 576-2966 or by email at info@sdrc.org
