As a publicly funded non-profit entity operating under contract with the California Department of Developmental Services (DDS), our information practices comply with the Lanterman Developmental Disabilities Act (Welfare & Institutions Code § 4514), the California Information Practices Act (Civil Code § 1798 et seq.), the California Public Records Act (Government Code § 7920.000 et seq.), and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

• California Public Records Act (CPRA): Pursuant to Welfare and Institutions Code section 4639.76 (as enacted by the Disability Equity, Transparency, and Accountability Act), regional centers are subject to the CPRA. While operational, administrative, and spending records may be subject to public disclosure requests, all protected personal information, clinical files, and health-related data remain explicitly exempt from public disclosure to safeguard individual privacy.
